I offer sessions for individuals and groups in-person and virtually.
Why I no longer give care, tips, referrals, or sessions for free, even for friends and family :)
I've given over 80 sessions for free outside of classes. And for decades, friends and family asked for my time for all kinds of things (e.g., serious crises without disclosing that they were not sober) and didn't give anything in return. Newsflash! That's a lot to put on anyone. Also, thank yous and IOUs don't pay my bills.
Unless you're a guardian of a child, it's not healthy to give care (a type of emotional labor) without receiving something of equal value. Nonreciprocal interactions can negatively affect the giver's health and ability to give. Some people think they're giving empathy. Here's how to actually give empathy (without accidentally physically experiencing someone else's stress). If you vent without sincerely asking how your listener is and if you say you'll give back to them but you don't, you're not being reciprocal. Also, you can be kind and not ask someone for something you don't need, or decline their offer.
I found that people who paid me were more likely to try and benefit from tips that might help before, during, and after their session. Like physical therapy, energywork works better when you try a new habit.
Please pay for a session before you ask for my time, such as if you want to:
One-on-one sessions

Save money with a FSA, HRA, or HSA
A healthcare flexible spending account (FSA), health reimbursement arrangement (HRA), or a health savings account (HSA) can cut your taxes and help you save money on medical, dental, vision and other qualified medical expenses. A FSA can save you an average of 30% by using pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible expenses for you, your spouse, and qualifying children or relatives. Money for your FSA is deducted automatically from your paycheck before taxes are taken out.
You might be able to use a FSA, HRA, or HSA to pay for reiki and hypnotherapy to treat a specific medical condition. Here's how:
Why I offer sliding scale rates of $100+/hour that might go up each January
I often didn't seek help because I couldn't afford it. I don't want that to happen to anyone else. These are the most reasonable rates I can offer. Please be honest and pay what you can.
Also, I have to raise my rates to keep up with inflation and cover classes I take.
In-person travel rates
If I've already met you and I said I could come to you in-person, my rate includes parking fees plus $1 a minute each way to travel to you with my massage table from 24th Street BART in Ramaytush Ohlone land (San Francisco, CA). If you have a massage table, my rate is $0.50 a minute plus parking fees. I'm vaccinated and boosted (and I have proof!). I can also wear a mask if you prefer.
Gift certificates
I don't offer gift certificates because I found that clients that used their own money for sessions were more likely to try and benefit from tips that might help before, during, and after their session.
Group sessions cost more. Sorry not sorry!
My rate is a sliding scale based on the needs of the group. Please offer what you pay people with similar years of experience to me and your annual budget. (I've spoken at events since 2002). My minimum rate is higher than my rate for one-on-one sessions.
Feel free to see videos of me speaking at events that didn't involve my wellness modalities: keynote, TEDx. Here's a taste of what I bring to group wellness sessions:

I found that people who paid me were more likely to try and benefit from tips that might help before, during, and after their session. Like physical therapy, energywork works better when you try a new habit.
Please pay for a session before you ask for my time, such as if you want to:
- Tell me about your dream or hear about a dream I had about you. I used to tell people for free about dreams that I eventually learned were accurate about their lives. Then I realized that if they're meant to know about my dream, they'd reach out to have a session with me.
- Vent, trauma dump, or ask me to comfort you. Sessions with me generally involve little talking. (If you want to talk about something intense, it might be safer for you and your listener if you first say something like, “Are you able to talk about something intense with me now?”)
- Ask for tips, ideas, referrals, or follow-up questions, such as:
- Tips I already sent you. If you can't find them, please search again in your electronic devices.
- What I already shared online on how I can:
- Help you be happy, equitable, green or vegan. You might easily find your answer if you type keywords from your question into this online search that I made.
- Work with you, speak at your event, or review products or books.
- Almost any other question that you can research.
- For example, the best way for me to give referrals is if I have a session with you first so I can understand your current situation. I give detailed, honest referrals. And I don't get kickbacks.
- As for other questions, what you might think is a quick question might not be. If you had an hour-long session with me and have follow-up questions, I can pro-rate my time. Just schedule a session and pay my full rate. If there's leftover time, I'll refund you that amount. During sessions, I always try to be as brief as possible to save time.
One-on-one sessions
If you can't afford a session, apply to the Healing Justice Fund (HJF)
Please only schedule after you take steps in this order:
- Please forward their email to me confirming they'll pay me at least my minimum rate ($100/hour).
- If the HJF can only pay below $100, please pay me the difference when you schedule.

You might be able to use a FSA, HRA, or HSA to pay for reiki and hypnotherapy to treat a specific medical condition. Here's how:
- You can create an HSA without your employer. Or ask your human resources team how you can create a FSA, HSA or HRA. Often you can only do that a specific month per year.
- Ask your FSA, HSA or HRA provider if you need a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) for things like reiki or hypnotherapy. If so, you can ask your acupuncturist, chiropractor or other medical professional to fill out that LMN form.
- Use all your FSA each calendar year and before you leave your job. Otherwise, you lose it.

- Almost everything I do is based on studies, many of which are sprinkled throughout this website.
- I love what-if safety protocols. For example, I trained in how to work with people if they get unwelcome symptoms after meditation.
- I attended thousands of hours of classes in my modalities, plus intuitive counseling, public speaking, trauma sensitivity, and more).
- Each session is customized. Choose your own adventure!
- I can help build a healthy, deep, long-lasting community between or with participants after events or classes. Let's cure the loneliness epidemic!
Please contact me with your:
- Event name, date, length of time you need me, location, number of potential attendees, website
- Proposed speaking fee based on your annual organizational budget. (My minimum rate is $1,000 because I spend a lot of time prepping.)
- Dates and times for a 30 minute prep call at least two weeks before your event
